Are you in a large car park, a parking garage or an unfamiliar location and can't quite remember where your car is? With the DrPhone FindPro OBD Auto Tracker you can view your car's location via Apple Find My. You plug the FindPro directly into the car's OBD port, after which the device is powered by the car.
This means you don't need a separate tracker battery to recharge, no SIM card and no separate tracker subscription.
Important: not a traditional 4G live GPS tracker
The DrPhone FindPro is offered as a car/GPS tracker, but the location transmission works differently than with a traditional GPS tracker with SIM card and 4G data connection.
The FindPro uses the Apple Find My network. Compatible Apple devices nearby can detect the signal of a Find My accessory via Bluetooth and then relay an estimated location to the Find My network. Apple describes Find My itself as a crowdsourced network of more than one billion Apple devices.
This means:
- no SIM card needed;
- no separate mobile data subscription;
- no guaranteed continuous live GPS tracking;
- location updates depend on detection via the Apple Find My network.
View the location directly in Apple Find My
After pairing, the FindPro appears as a compatible item in the Find My app on your Apple device.
You can then view the location of the item on the map. Apple supports other compatible Find My network accessories besides AirTags.
When a current location is available, you will see it in Find My. When the accessory cannot be detected again at that moment, Find My can show the available/estimated location information. Apple uses the term estimated location for such accessories.
Navigate to your car's location
Can you see where your car is? From Find My you can view the location on the map and use a route to the displayed location.
Apple confirms that you can view a route to the estimated location for Find My items.
This makes the FindPro practical, for example, when you want to find your car:
- in a large car park;
- in or around a parking garage;
- during a city trip;
- at an airport car park;
- when the car has been parked by someone else.
Directly powered via the OBD port
An important difference with many separate Bluetooth trackers is the power supply.
The DrPhone FindPro is plugged directly into the car's OBD port. You therefore do not need to recharge a separate tracker battery repeatedly.
No cables or separate holder
The FindPro is plugged directly into the OBD port. Therefore, there is no need for:
- a separate power cable;
- USB charger;
- dashboard holder;
- separate battery holder
for normal use.
Easy installation
Installation consists of two parts: connecting the FindPro to the car and adding it to Apple Find My.
1. Find the car's OBD port
This is located in many cars under the dashboard on the driver's side. The exact position varies per car model.
2. Insert the DrPhone FindPro
Firmly insert the FindPro into the OBD port.
3. Open Apple Find My
Open the Find My app on your iPhone.
4. Go to Items
Select the Items tab and add a compatible Find My accessory.
5. Complete the pairing
Follow the instructions on your iPhone.
No SIM card and no monthly costs
A conventional vehicle tracker with mobile data connection often requires a SIM card, data bundle or subscription.
The FindPro uses the Apple Find My network for Find My functionality and therefore does not require a separate mobile tracker subscription or SIM card.
This makes it especially interesting if you want a simple car locator for Apple Find My without recurring subscription costs.
What is the DrPhone FindPro suitable for?
The FindPro is intended for users who:
- want to be able to find a car via Apple Find My;
- do not want to install a SIM card;

- do not want to recharge a separate tracker battery;
- are looking for a compact OBD solution;
- want to view the parking/vehicle location via their Apple device.

- guaranteed continuous live tracking;
- second-by-second vehicle tracking;
- permanent route history;
