MINING

Panther X is a hotspot miner with ultra-low power consumption and ultra-long-range IoT hotspot gateway that works with various IoT networks. As an information converter for the LoRa communication protocol, Panther X assists in communication between network servers and end nodes. The Panther X, with a signal range of approximately 10-20 km, operates on ultra-low power (5W) and can connect to more than 2,000 LoRaWAN end nodes within its range. It is highly secure, reliable, and easy to communicate with, and can be used for environmental monitoring, asset tracking, smart agriculture, and other ultra-low power, long-range IoT applications.

HELIUM PARTNER

The PantherX is compatible with the Helium LongFi network and can be used as a hotspot to earn Helium currency (HNT). Additionally, this device supports direct block synchronization and remote control. Users can set it up in no time using the official Helium application. At the same time, they can modify advanced configurations on the Panther X Dashboard to make the device more efficient.

ARCHITECTURE

The PantherX miner transmits and receives LoRa frames, modulates/demodulates signals, processes LoRa frames and higher-level protocol-related tasks, and ultimately sends data to the LoRaWAN server via Ethernet or WiFi.

SOLUTION

LongFi™ Technology Helium LongFi is a technical architecture that combines LoRaWAN, (a leading wireless technology,) with the Helium blockchain. LongFi™ is optimised for kilometre range and long battery life for IoT devices.

Proof of Coverage (PoC) Panther hotspot earns HNT when the device connects to the Helium Mainnet and validates wireless coverage provided by peers. Moreover, by using a Proof-of-Coverage (PoC) system, Panther X can earn more HNT when a Panther X hotspot is within the coverage of other Panther X hotspots.

Coverage depends on the environment:

● Open terrain: 10km or further-
● Built-up environment: 1-10km Less HNT can be earned by a single hotspot, as it can only issue Challenges via the internet and cannot participate in PoC.

LoRa LoRa is a revolutionary RF physical-layer modulation technique that offers long-range wireless connectivity, excellent power efficiency, extremely high reception sensitivity, fully spread spectrum, and secure, encrypted transmission. It operates on the free industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) radio bands with 863-870 MHz frequency spectrum and reserved subsets thereof.

BROADER RANGE WITH DRPHONE® FIBREGLASS ANTENNA

Thanks to the enhanced fibre optic antennas from DrPhone®, Panther X offers broader and more stable network coverage, resulting in hotspots achieving higher HNT efficiency. The lower the DBI, the rounder the coverage becomes. The higher the DBI, the longer and narrower the coverage becomes. DrPhone recommends lower DBI for locations with tall buildings (2 to 5 DBI). Do you live far from other miners? Then use a higher DBI antenna (5 to 8). Note! If you are above 10-15 metres yourself, do not use a higher DBI antenna. The antenna will then protrude above all miners. The DrPhone® antennas are waterproof, shockproof, heat-resistant, and snow/ice resistant.

Antennas provide better range when they have a clear line of sight and are placed outdoors. We recommend ordering a lightning arrester if you decide to use the antenna outside. Of course, you can also turn off the miner during lightning. We are not responsible for misuse.
