Important information

• Note: Lightning and Micro USB share one connection. For use with iPhone, insert the micro USB side into your device; for Android with Micro USB, flip the connector over.
• For iOS a free app is available: UBackup (see manual or packaging).
• For Android no app is needed; use the standard Files/File Manager app.

How to use for iOS?

Selecting and copying files

1. Go to the Home page in the app.
2. Here you see an overview of all photos and videos on your device.
3. Select the files you want to copy by:

• Long pressing a file, or
• Tapping the icon with three dots and then selecting Choose.

Start backup

1. After selecting the desired photos and/or videos, tap Backup.
2. The files will now be copied to the USB stick.
3. You can follow the progress in the app during the process.

How to use for Android?

Open USB stick

1. When you connect the USB stick, a pop-up notification usually appears on your phone. Tap View.
2. If no notification appears, open the My Files or File Manager app on your Android phone.
3. Look for External storage or USB storage; here you will find the contents of the USB stick.

Transfer photos to the USB stick

1. Go to My Files and then Internal storage.
2. Find the folder where your photos or videos are stored.
3. Select the files you want to copy by holding them down.
4. Tap Copy.
5. Go to External storage (USB) (also in your My Files section)
6. Optionally choose New folder to create a separate folder for the files.
7. Tap Paste to transfer the files.
   
   

Tip: Do not copy thousands of files at once. This can cause the transfer to freeze because files have different formats and sizes.

Important:
- For iOS, the app opens automatically upon connection.
- For Android, no app is needed.
