DrPhone BaristaPress 53 – Even tamping for a better espresso

Uneven tamping can cause water to flow unevenly through the ground coffee. The DrPhone BaristaPress 53 is a self-leveling coffee tamper with a spring mechanism, designed to press the coffee evenly and straight. The flat stainless steel base has a diameter of 53 mm and helps create an even coffee bed for consistent espresso extraction.

Self-leveling design

The built-in guide helps prevent the tamper from being held at an angle during tamping. This distributes the pressure more evenly over the ground coffee and makes it easier to work with a straight, flat tamp.

Built-in spring mechanism

The internal spring mechanism ensures a controlled downward movement. This allows you to repeat the tamping motion more easily without manually aligning the tamper during tamping. No fixed or calibrated tamping force is applied.

Flat base made of 304 stainless steel

Usage

Fill the filter basket with the desired amount of ground coffee and distribute it as evenly as possible. Place the BaristaPress directly above the coffee bed and press the handle down in a controlled manner. Then remove the tamper straight upwards.

Compatibility

Suitable for filter baskets and portafilters that require a tamper with a base diameter of 53 mm. Measure the internal size of the filter basket before purchase. A 54 mm indication on an espresso machine does not automatically mean every 53 mm tamper fits perfectly.
