This smartphone macro lens combines 10–20× macro magnification with an integrated LED ring light, allowing you to better view, photograph and illuminate small objects.
The lens is suitable for applications such as product details, jewellery, watches, coins, plants, insects, circuit boards, skin textures and other fine surfaces. Note: this is a macro lens for close-up use, not a telephoto or telemacro lens to bring distant subjects closer.
10–20× macro magnification for close-up details
The DrPhone APEX HyperMacro is intended to display small subjects larger and more detailed from close up. The 10–20× designation refers to macro magnification at a short working distance and not to telezoom like with binoculars, telephoto lenses or smartphone zoom.
The lens operates with a short working distance of approximately 1.5 to 4.5 cm. This short distance allows you to capture fine details better. When adjusting the lens, the focus and working distance also change. This is typical for macro use and ensures you can focus precisely on the subject.
Important to know before purchase
This lens is intended for macro photography and close-up observation. The product is not designed to optically bring objects 10× to 20× closer from a greater distance.
Use this lens when you want to view or photograph small details up close. If you are looking for a lens for birds, landscapes, sports, distant objects or general telezoom, a smartphone telephoto lens or monocular telescope lens is more suitable.
Direct observation with silicone eyecup
The APEX HyperMacro comes with an ergonomic silicone eyecup. This allows you to view objects directly without relying solely on the smartphone screen. This is useful for inspection work, educational use and precise observation of small details.

LED ring light for even illumination
In macro photography you are close to the subject, so additional light is often necessary. That is why the DrPhone APEX HyperMacro has an integrated LED LensLight ring light with 32 LEDs: 16 white LEDs and 16 warm LEDs.
The ring light provides even illumination around the subject and helps reduce harsh shadows. This makes details more visible and allows you to work better even in lower ambient light.
45 light settings
The LED ring light is fully adjustable and offers multiple combinations for different situations.
Light options:
· 3 colour temperatures: warm, neutral and cool
· 3 light modes: full ring, left half ring or right half ring
· 5 brightness levels from 20% to 100%
Together this gives 45 possible light settings. This allows you to adjust the lighting to the subject, environment and desired level of detail.
CRI ≥95 for more natural colours
The ring light has a CRI value of ≥95. This helps to display colours more naturally in close-up photography. This is especially useful for jewellery, makeup, skin details, product photography and material inspection.
Large F1.05 aperture
The macro lens has an F1.05 aperture. This allows a lot of light to pass through the lens, which helps with bright close-up images. Combined with the LED ring light, you can work better indoors or in lower light.
Adjustable smartphone holder
The included smartphone holder is adjustable and suitable for many smartphones 7 to 10 cm wide. The holder has a precise slider to align the lens correctly with your phone’s main camera.
Important: for smartphones with multiple cameras, the lens must be placed exactly in front of the active main camera. Preferably use the default camera app at 1× zoom and check which camera is active. A thick phone case or large camera bump can affect alignment.
Secure attachment for stable use
The holder features a screw lock for stable placement. This helps keep the lens firmly in place during use. For best results, work steadily as small movements are quickly noticeable in macro photography.
Modular system with 37mm–52mm adapter ring
The DrPhone APEX HyperMacro supports a 37mm–52mm adapter ring. This allows you to expand the set with suitable 52mm accessories, such as certain filters or adapter solutions.
