Explanation about mAh:
Difference between battery capacity and actual capacity
One third of the capacity is lost. The technical explanation is complicated, but the rule is simple: the actual capacity of a power bank is about two thirds of the stated capacity. The rest disappears during the conversion of the current or is lost during charging, especially as heat. Power banks with a battery of 10,000 mAh or 20,000 or 30,000 mAh therefore actually have only 6,660 mAh or 13,330 mAh or 17,500 mAh capacity.

The reason power banks have two thirds of the stated capacity is largely because the current must be converted. The voltage of the power bank battery is for example 3.7 ampere, but to charge a smartphone or tablet the power bank must raise the voltage to 5 ampere. By raising that voltage, only 7,400 mAh remains from 10,000 mAh, a quarter less. This applies to every power bank, regardless of capacity or quality. During charging, about 10 percent of the remaining energy is lost. That 7,400 mAh is then only 7,400 x 0.9 = 6,660 mAh. Much of that energy is lost as heat: that is why your smartphone often gets warm during charging.
