Explanation about mAh:
Difference between battery capacity and actual capacity
One third of the capacity is lost. The technical explanation is complicated, but the rule is simple: the actual capacity of a powerbank is about two thirds of the stated capacity. The rest disappears during the conversion of the power or is lost during charging, especially as heat. Powerbanks with a battery of 10,000 mAh or 20,000 or 30,000 mAh therefore actually only have 6,660 mAh or 13,330 mAh or 17,500 mAh capacity.

That powerbanks have two thirds of the stated capacity is largely because the power must be converted. The voltage of the powerbank battery is for example 3.7 ampere, but to charge a smartphone or tablet the powerbank must increase the voltage to 5 ampere. By increasing that voltage, only 7,400 mAh remains from 10,000 mAh for example, a quarter less. This applies to every powerbank, regardless of capacity or quality. During charging, about 10 percent more energy is lost. That 7,400 mAh is then only 7,400 x 0.9 = 6,660 mAh. Much of that energy is lost as heat: that is why your smartphone often gets warm during charging.
