Are you not getting sound through your soundbar, receiver or amplifier, or do you want to send audio separately from an HDMI source? With the DrPhone eArc Ultra HDMI Audio Extractor, you can extract audio from an HDMI signal and send it via HDMI Audio Only, Toslink, coaxial or 3.5 mm stereo. This way you can combine a TV, console, media player or other HDMI source with existing audio equipment.
18 Gbps HDMI eARC Audio Extractor
The DrPhone eArc Ultra features a dedicated HDMI Audio Only output. This allows audio to be extracted from an HDMI signal and sent to an AV receiver, amplifier or sound system.
The device supports HDMI loop-out, forwarding the video signal to your TV, monitor or projector. According to the manual, the extractor supports resolutions up to 4K @ 60Hz, HDR up to 10-bit, HDCP 2.3, ARC and eARC.
2 HDMI inputs for multiple sources
The extractor has 2 HDMI inputs. This allows you to connect two HDMI sources, such as a game console, media player, Blu-ray player, TV box, laptop or decoder. You can switch between the connected HDMI sources using the HDMI Input Switch or the infrared remote control.

HDMI loop-out to TV, monitor or projector
The HDMI OUTPUT port is used to forward the video signal to your TV, monitor or projector. This port supports ARC/eARC.
Use suitable HDMI cables for stable operation. For 4K @ 60Hz, a quality HDMI 2.0 cable is recommended.
Multiple audio outputs
The DrPhone eArc Ultra offers multiple audio outputs:
This allows you to connect audio to various types of audio equipment, such as a soundbar, AV receiver, amplifier, speaker system or headphones.
ARC and eARC support
The DrPhone eArc Ultra supports ARC and eARC according to the manual.
The HDMI OUTPUT port supports ARC/eARC towards the TV.
The HDMI Audio Only port is intended for audio output to an AV receiver or amplifier.
The eARC switch determines how the audio signal is processed.
eARC ON:
The HDMI output delivers the audio signal via eARC/ARC.
eARC OFF:
The HDMI Audio Only output delivers the sound directly from the HDMI source.
Note: your TV, soundbar, receiver or amplifier must support ARC/eARC and the selected audio format.
Passing through audio formats, not decoding
The DrPhone eArc Ultra supports pass-through of multiple HDMI audio formats, including PCM, LPCM, Dolby and DTS formats.
Important: the extractor does not decode these audio formats. If your connected soundbar, amplifier or receiver does not support the selected audio format, no sound will be output. In that case, change the audio setting of your source device or TV to PCM or LPCM.

SPDIF and coaxial audio
The optical SPDIF output and coaxial output support digital audio up to 5.1.

Note: not every device supports every audio format via SPDIF or coaxial. Therefore, also check the settings of your TV, console, media player or receiver.
3.5 mm analogue stereo output
The 3.5 mm connection is intended for analogue stereo audio 2.0. This output is suitable when you want to send stereo audio to, for example, a speaker, amplifier or headphones with a 3.5 mm input.
Note: 3.5 mm does not support 5.1, 7.1, Dolby Atmos, ARC or eARC.
Audio settings: TV, 2.0, 5.1 and 7.1
The DrPhone eArc Ultra has a TV / 2.0 / 5.1 / 7.1 switch. This allows you to select the desired audio mode.
TV mode
In TV mode, the HDMI signal is passed through one-to-one to the television. The resolution is automatically determined by the television via EDID. Audio is made available via HDMI Audio Out, SPDIF and 3.5 mm stereo.
2.0 mode
In 2.0 mode, audio is output as stereo PCM 2.0. This mode is suitable for use with 3.5 mm audio, stereo speakers or devices that do not support surround audio.
5.1 mode
In 5.1 mode, surround audio is passed through via HDMI Audio Out and SPDIF, provided the connected audio device supports this. The 3.5 mm connection does not support 5.1 audio.
7.1 mode
In 7.1 mode, LPCM 7.1 is output via HDMI Audio Out. If your TV, monitor, soundbar, receiver or amplifier does not support LPCM 7.1, no sound will be output.
Support up to 4K @ 60Hz
The DrPhone eArc Ultra supports video resolutions up to 4K @ 60Hz. Additionally, the device supports HDMI loop-out, HDR up to 10-bit and HDCP 2.3.
Do not use this product as a 4K120 solution.

Does this product support Dolby Atmos?
According to the manual, the device supports pass-through of Dolby Atmos via HDMI, provided your source device, HDMI cables, TV and soundbar or receiver support this. The extractor does not decode Dolby Atmos.
Why am I not getting any sound?
Check whether your source device, TV, soundbar, amplifier or receiver supports the selected audio format. The extractor does not decode audio formats. Set your source device or TV to PCM or LPCM if you hear no sound.
Does the 3.5 mm output support 5.1 or 7.1 audio?
No. The 3.5 mm output only supports analogue stereo 2.0.
Does the 3.5 mm output support ARC or eARC?
No. The 3.5 mm output does not support ARC or eARC.
Can I use this with a soundbar?
Yes, provided your soundbar supports the selected connection and audio format.
Can I use this with an AV receiver?
