Detailed Specifications and Functionalities
- HDMI input ports: Connect to an HDMI source device such as DVD, PS4 or set-top box with an HDMI cable.
- ARC/eARC function:
- When off: Connect "INPUT 1(eARC)" port to an HDMI source device to act as a signal input port.
- When on: Connect "INPUT 1(eARC)" to a soundbar or amplifier to output the audio signal extracted from the "INPUT 2/3/4" port or "OUTPUT(eARC)" port.
- OUTPUT(eARC): HDMI output, connect to an HDMI display device such as HDTV or projector with HDMI cable.
- SERVICE: Firmware update port.
- DC 5V: DC 5V power input port.
- AUTO/INPUT button and HDMI input LEDs:
- Quickly press the “AUTO/INPUT” button to select HDMI 1/2/3/4 input source, and the corresponding IN 1/2/3/4 LED will light up.
- AUTO LED: When you hold the “AUTO/INPUT” button for 2 seconds, the AUTO LED of HDMI inputs will light up and activate the AUTO function. Press again for 2 seconds to deactivate the AUTO function.
- AUTO function: Detects the source of the input signal. After the AUTO function is activated, the OUTPUT port will output the signal from the last connected input source.
- EDID button and status LED: Press the button to select EDID mode: AUTO/2.0/5.1/7.1 (AUTO means use TV EDID) and the corresponding LED will light up.
- EARC button and LED: Press the button to toggle the ARC/eARC function on/off. The eARC LED will light up when the ARC/eARC function is enabled.
- R-IR: IR receiving window. Only receives IR signals from the remote control of this product.
ARC/eARC function scenarios:
1. Scenario 1: When the ARC/eARC function is off, the connection diagram is as follows.
2. Scenario 2:
- When ARC/eARC function is on and port 1 selected: Connect the “INPUT 1(eARC)” port to a soundbar to output the audio signal returned from the “OUTPUT(eARC)” port.
- Note: If the HDTV supports the ARC/eARC function, the soundbar receives the audio signal from the HDTV and then outputs the sound; otherwise no sound.
3. Scenario 3:
- When ARC/eARC function is on and port 2/3/4 selected: Connect the “INPUT 1(eARC)” port to a soundbar to output the audio signal extracted from the “INPUTS 2/3/4” port.
- Note: Whether the HDTV supports the ARC/eARC function or not, the soundbar receives the audio signal from the “INPUTS 2/3/4” port and outputs the sound.
