Do you want to record the HDMI image from a camera, camcorder, game console or other HDMI source, but still watch the image on a monitor or television at the same time? The DrPhone HVC2 HDMI Capture Card with Loop-Out converts the HDMI video and audio signal for recording on a computer and simultaneously sends the image to an external HDMI screen.
The HVC2 accepts an input signal up to 4K at 30Hz and processes this to a maximum of Full HD 1080p at 30Hz. This makes the capture card suitable for livestreaming, video recordings, camera footage, presentations and simple gameplay recordings.
Record HDMI video and audio
Connect your camera, camcorder, game console or other HDMI source to the HDMI input of the HVC2. Then connect the capture card to your computer via USB. Within suitable recording or streaming software, select the HVC2 as an external video and audio source.
The capture card can be used for, among other things:
HDMI loop-out to a monitor or television
The DrPhone HVC2 has a separate HDMI output. This simultaneously forwards the incoming HDMI signal to a monitor or television.
You can therefore view the image directly on an external screen while the computer records the signal. This prevents you from being solely dependent on the preview window in the recording software during use.
4K input and Full HD recording
The maximum HDMI input resolution is:

The HVC2 thus accepts a 4K signal but does not record in 4K. The incoming signal is processed to a maximum of Full HD 1080p at 30 frames per second.
Plug-and-play via UVC and UAC

With a compatible operating system, a separate manufacturer driver is usually not required. After connection, the capture card can be selected as a video and audio source within the recording or streaming software used.
Suitable for OBS, VLC and Amcap

USB 3.0 port with USB 2.0 cable
The capture card physically has a USB 3.0 Type-A female port. A USB 2.0 Type-A male-to-male cable is included for connection to the computer.
When using the included USB 2.0 cable, data transfer takes place according to the capabilities of USB 2.0.
Power via USB
During normal use, the capture card receives power via the USB connection to the computer. Additionally, the device has a micro-USB port for 5V power supply.
A micro-USB cable is included and can be connected to the DC 5V input when additional power is needed. The manual states a maximum current consumption of 0.7A at 5V DC.

Important for purchase
The HVC2 accepts a maximum 4K input signal at 30Hz but does not record in 4K. The maximum recording quality is Full HD 1080p at 30Hz.
The capture card does not support recording at 1080p at 60Hz.
The final image quality and operation also depend on the HDMI source, cables used, USB connection, computer performance and settings of the recording or streaming software.
