Tips & Notes (Please read carefully):
1. The Blu-ray drive is compatible with Windows XP/7/8/10, 11 and all versions of MAC OS 10 or lower.
2. The external Blu-ray drive does not support TV/car/projector/tablet/smartphone/Chrome OS.
3. Due to the low voltage of some tablets, this Blu-ray drive cannot be used on tablets, such as the Surface series.
4. Connect the device to the direct USB port of your computer. If you want the disc to work properly on desktop computers, make sure you connect the device to the USB port on the motherboard. If you connect it to a USB hub or extension cable, the drive may not be recognised or may not read BD, CD/DVD.
5. When using it via a laptop, make sure your laptop has sufficient power (we recommend connecting the laptop's AC adapter during use).
6. The Blu-ray DVD drive DOES NOT play 4K Ultra HD discs.
7. This external Blu-ray DVD drive must download Blu-ray player software before playing a Blu-ray disc. Recommendations are as follows: Leawo is good for reading discs. MAC users are advised to purchase Macgo Blu-ray Player, and Windows users are advised to purchase PowerDVD. You can also download the following software for free for Windows (iDeer); https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1aIJMNbKiZsofv_aTeV-3DTz5lyQvlTxU?usp=sharing8. The player software on your computer must support the Blu-ray format when playing Blu-ray discs. [Player software is not included.]
9. For better performance, we recommend connecting the power cable during use.
10. Place the disc on a flat and stable surface during use. Do not press on the disc while it is operating.
11. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the machine yourself.
12. We recommend not playing Blu-ray movies larger than 25GB.
13. If this Blu-ray drive works on Windows 10 or Catalina, please note the following: it is important that you have installed a media player such as the VLC media player BEFORE connecting the Blu-ray player to play DVDs. This is not due to the Blu-ray player, but because Windows 10/Catalina does not have a default player installed. Otherwise, this Blu-ray drive cannot play DVDs.
14. For Blu-ray drives with touch buttons, the eject button DOES NOT work on Mac. (For Mac OS use the Mac command to eject the disc. For Mac OS the DVD drive icon appears after the drive has successfully read the disc. After inserting a disc into the drive, the DVD icon does not appear immediately.)
FAQ (Most asked questions):
1.Q: Why does my computer not show this Blu-ray drive after connecting it to my computer?
A:(1) Make sure your computer has sufficient power. For desktops, connect the USB cable directly to the USB interface on the motherboard at the back. For a laptop: make sure the laptop has sufficient power and we recommend connecting another power cable. You can use your smartphone adapter (5V/1A or 5V/2A) to provide power. You can also connect the power cable to the USB interface of your computer. If you still cannot see the Blu-ray drive, restart your computer.
(2) Make sure there is a driver on your computer.
(3) When this Blu-ray drive works on Mac OS and is connected to a Mac, NO icon is displayed on the desktop. After inserting a disc into the drive, a disc icon appears on the desktop.
2.Q: My WIN10/11 system does not recognise it. What should I do?
A: Right-click on ‘This PC’ -- ‘Manage’ -- ‘Double-click Device Manager’ -- then click on ‘DVD/CD-ROM drives’.
There are three situations you may encounter:
(1). You can see the model of the external drive after clicking on the DVD/CD-ROM drive, which means the drive is working perfectly.
(2). You can see the model of the external drive with an exclamation mark, which means there is an error in your computer system.
(3). You may get nothing after clicking on the DVD/CD-ROM drive, which means the external drive is not recognised by your computer.
Sometimes a USB HUB can also solve this problem. Connect the USB hub to your computer and then connect the drive to your HUB.
3.Q: The disc cannot be ejected?
A:(1). The disc must be inserted into the computer rather than the HUB. But sometimes using a USB HUB (powered by an adapter) is recommended. For example, you need to connect the drive to your laptop, but your laptop cannot provide sufficient power to the drive.
(2). The USB interface at the front of the desktop case gets insufficient power. Use the USB port connected to the USB port at the back of the computer host.
(3). Make sure the disc is not warped before use.
4.Q: Why can it not play a Blu-ray disc?
A:(1) Make sure there is a correct connection between the disc and your computer.
(2) Make sure there is correct Blu-ray playback software on your computer with the correct Blu-ray playback format.
5.Q: Why does my Blu-ray disc not display after inserting it into the drive?
A: Make sure the disc is correctly inserted into the drive. Do not flip the disc. Check if there is a virtual drive on your computer and disable the virtual drive.
